You will receive the more desirable "late" cover (which comes on common block motors only (1989 and up) uses a 1 piece gasket. 
 
Why are these Turbo II valve covers with the deeper channel (i.e.  1989 and up cars) more desirable?
 
Because they utilize a single one piece molded gasket and thus eliminate the need to scrape off old RTV from the old gasket.  If you have (for example) a 1987 Daytona Shelby or CSX and you remove your valve cover you'll notice there are two rubber side seals, and then for the entire front and rear of the cover, you have to use RTV...which is messy, and takes time to remove on future gasket changes.   With this newer (89 and up) style T2 valve cover, there is a one piece molded gasket that fits inside this cover's deep channel, which takes less than a minute to install and has a way higher success rate of sealing up nice and tight!   Every (early build) Turbo II car needs one of these newer covers!

This valve cover fits all 2.2 Turbo and 2.5 Turbo engines from 1985-1992.  (both Turbo I and Turbo II)

Our process:
Our restoration process involves cleaning/degreasing and blasting our covers, removing the internal baffle and cleaning it thoroughly, then resealing the baffle (which results in less oil pullover from the PCV system) ...and the final step is powder coating it in beautiful wrinkle black.
