As a performance part from the “Mopar Performance” line, it replaces the stock relief spring to raise oil pressure (to ~70 psi) for high-performance builds.
 
If you have a vehicle with a Slant-6 (e.g., the 225 ci 6-cyl) or one of the B/RB-series V8 engines (195-345 ci family) from earlier Mopar vehicles, this spring could be a fit — especially if you’re building for increased oil pressure/track use.
However, because it’s not a direct “stock replacement” part for all applications, you should verify the engine and oil pump configuration in your particular vehicle before purchase.
